Years ago I remember hearing a sermon based on Matthew 5:13-16 You are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. I remember feeling so convicted because I hid my conversion to Christ for quite some time. My salvation was such an intense experience and I was too afraid to share it with others on social media. I knew a lot of my following at the time could not relate to my new relationship with Christ, but I knew my story could help save someone’s life. God called me to stop hiding my light and to share the gospel with others regardless of what they would say. Sharing the gospel and my testimony brought my relationship with Christ on a deeper level, purifying my soul and solidified my loyalty and love for Him
